Words can’t really do justice to the injustice of how John Fisher did all of the A’s fans, who stuck by the team through so many seasons of pathetically underfunded baseball. There’s literally a famous book and movie about how hard it was to succeed with these cheap-ass owners.
Here are just a few of the many fans and experts who’ve said it better than I could, as we all witnessed the A’s play their final home game at the Oakland Coliseum this week:

- From Tom Hanks to Dame Lillard, mourning the Oakland A’s: ‘It’s pretty heartbreaking’ (The Athletic)
- No one captured the collective vibe better than former SportsCenter anchor turned ABC Bay Area sports man, Larry Beil.
Next stop, a multi-year stopover in Sacramento, before (hopefully) moving into their permanent home as the 7th most popular thing to do in Vegas every night.
